Do you know how many women in Japan are interested in pursuing STEM careers? Only 17% of them answered yes in contrast with 44% in western countries. Consider engineering as an example. It is true that especially those without any experience in the field tend to believe it as a pie-in-the-sky field, and it’s even harder for women not to have that perspective due to the significant lack of women in the field. In order to get rid of the prejudice, I would first like to popularize FRC and provide students, no matter what kind of circumstances they are under, with opportunities to get a taste of engineering.

Moreover, I hope to make the future where women and men are always equally treated on the creative front line in any cases and build the environment where everyone can accomplish what they actually want by broadening my knowledge and perspective and collaborating with various specialists at this foundation.
