Rioto Yasukawa

I have a deep love for the natural sciences, and am particularly interested in and focused on the areas of cell biology, molecular biology, and biochemistry. I spend all day thinking constantly about cells, living organisms, natural phenomena and laws, and at times even the evolution of living creatures. Since I was a child, I have loved observing the plants growing in fields and along roadsides, and I want to continue studying plant ecology and taxonomy as well. What I hope to accomplish is to elucidate the internal structures and morphology of organelles (cellular organelles), as well as the mechanisms and significance of intracellular degradation, in order to create an accurate structural map of the cell. My ultimate goal is to become a scientist and create a cell membrane with membrane proteins attached—thereby solving part of the mystery of the origin of life. In addition, I would like to dedicate myself to activities that protect ecosystems, so as to preserve the diverse organisms on Earth and their natural habitats. I will work to achieve my goals while interacting with fellow foundation members who are also passionately pursuing their own various disciplines.
