I have always been fascinated by robots ever since I was a little girl. I am now an active member of SAKURA Tempesta, an international robot competition team that regularly competes in the FIRST Robotics Competition. In this team, I am mainly responsible for the mechanical design of a robot that weighs roughly 60 kg. When I make my own robots, I do the entire process on my own—everything from design and assembly to wiring and programming.
In the future, I would like to organize a robot competition in space for junior and senior high school students. That’s my first goal. I believe hosting this event will have great significance for society, because it will catalyze a shift in space exploration and education toward a better direction.
