I’m a rising 8th grader at STEM School Highlands Ranch in Colorado. I completed all my middle school courses a few years back, and focused on college-level courses on the intersection of biochemistry and AI.
Some of my recognized inventions include an early tornado detection system, a wound care solution using graphene oxide, a carbon monoxide detector and purifier that uses a magnetite catalyst, biomimetic surfaces to combat icy roads and an alternative battery solution using nanomaterials. I am currently shadowing cell and developmental biology research at University of Colorado, Anschutz.
I’m really passionate about world art, history, and cultures. I’ve conducted sessions on the intersection of history, culture and science and have reached almost 5,000 elementary students through more than 70 sessions at global and rural schools and museums.
I also work with nonprofits in Kenya, India, and Colombia to bring digital wellbeing programs to students and create fun educational videos to help them learn.
With the Masason Foundation’s support and resources,I remain committed to building scalable, community-centered solutions for those most vulnerable to environmental change. I hope to collaborate with peers on interesting ideas and focus on problems that are worsening due to climate change.
