For the past three years, I have been using robotic telescopes and open data to develop algorithms to strengthen planetary defense. These algorithms have successfully detected unknown asteroid candidates, determined the physical properties of large asteroid populations and provided citizen scientist support to NASA’s Double Asteroid Redirection Test (DART) mission. I am currently working on improving exoplanet transit ephemerides for the European Space Agency’s Ariel Mission and contributing to exoplanetary atmosphere characterization. I am committed to using technology for the public good. As a member of the Masason Foundation, I aim to address intergenerational challenges, from ocean conservation to the resurgence of pandemics and algorithmic bias. The community of visionary problem solvers will inspire me to develop innovative solutions and identify potential co-founders for my startups and social enterprises.
