I first encountered materials science in the fourth grade. Today, that interest has evolved into a passion for the creation of biomaterials-based innovations for pressing medical applications. My original research projects include biomimetic wound dressings, multimodal tissue hypoxia sensors, and microrobotic stem cell carriers. I’m currently continuing my research on the development of functionalized hydrogel biomaterials. I also enjoy the intersection of science and public speaking, which I do by speaking at conferences, public events, and science fairs.
As a Masason Foundation member, I would like to enhance the impact and scope of my work through interdisciplinary collaboration within this trailblazing community. Through publications, continued innovation, and post-secondary education, I will work to revolutionize the gold standards of modern healthcare and create a future where no diagnosis is terminal.
